Careers at NPC

Teach what you love.

We’re artists, designers and animators who teach — at four studios across Metro Vancouver, from NPC Kids to university portfolios.

Why NPC

A good place to teach art.

6:1

Classes you can actually teach

Six students per teacher, so you teach people — not a room.

01

A curriculum to teach from

Twenty years of lesson plans for every age — you add your craft, not a syllabus from scratch.

04

Four campuses

Kerrisdale, Richmond, South Surrey and West Vancouver — teach close to home.

5→18

See students grow up

From a five-year-old’s first brushstroke to the university offer letter.

Where we need you

What you’ll do
  • Teach weekly NPC Kids classes from our term curriculum
  • Set up materials before class and keep the studio tidy and safe
  • Give every child individual guidance so each one finishes work they are proud of
  • Share progress and finished artwork with parents
  • Help with seasonal events, camps and workshops
What we look for
  • A degree or diploma in fine art, design, illustration, animation or art education — or a senior student in one of these fields
  • Experience teaching or working with children aged 5–13 (classes, camps or tutoring)
  • Strong drawing and painting fundamentals; comfortable with watercolour, acrylic and markers. Clay, craft or 3D printing is a plus
  • A warm, patient and organised classroom manner

  • Available at least two after-school afternoons or one weekend day each week, for a full term
  • Legally able to work in Canada, with a clear criminal record check (vulnerable sector) before teaching
