NPC Arts Center — Terms and Conditions
1. Payment, Enrollment, and Package Policy
Registration Confirmation: Enrollment is only finalized upon receipt of full payment. For all Course Plans and Class Packages, payment is due in full upfront unless a specific written payment schedule has been authorized in advance by the Campus Director.
Class Packages: NPC offers the following class packages, which are the standard method of enrollment:
12-Class Package — must be completed within 12 consecutive weeks from the scheduled start date (based on one class per week).
24-Class Package — must be completed within 24 consecutive weeks from the scheduled start date (based on one class per week).
48-Class Package — must be completed within 48 consecutive weeks from the scheduled start date (based on one class per week).
VIP Unlimited Membership — provides unlimited access to scheduled classes for the duration of the membership term. Billed in full upfront.
For students attending more than once per week, the package duration is reduced proportionally (e.g., a 12-class package attended twice weekly must be completed within 6 consecutive weeks). All classes within a package are scheduled in advance at the time of purchase.
Student Commitment: By purchasing any package or membership, the student and/or guardian agrees to attend every scheduled class within the package term. NPC reserves the seat and instructor time for each scheduled class. If a student does not attend a scheduled class, the class is considered used and forfeited, as the scheduling commitment has already been made on the student's behalf.
Membership Billing (VIP and recurring plans): Memberships are billed automatically each cycle to the payment method on file. To pause or cancel a recurring membership, written notice of at least 30 days must be submitted prior to the next billing cycle. No partial refunds are provided for mid-cycle cancellations. Failed or declined payments must be resolved within 7 days, after which NPC reserves the right to suspend enrollment.
Refund Policy — Strictly Non-Refundable:
All class packages (12, 24, 48) and VIP Unlimited Memberships are non-refundable once purchased. This applies whether or not the student attends any or all of the scheduled classes.
Because NPC schedules each student into specific class slots at the time of purchase — reserving instructor time, materials, and seat capacity — purchases cannot be refunded, credited back, or exchanged for cash under any circumstance, except where required by applicable law.
Missed classes due to student absence, scheduling conflicts, vacations, illness, or any other reason are the sole responsibility of the student and guardian, and are not eligible for refund, credit, or extension beyond the make-up policy below.
Discretionary Credits: At the sole discretion of NPC management, non-transferable credits may be issued for future use in lieu of refunds in exceptional circumstances. Credits are non-redeemable for cash and expire as defined at issuance.
Class Cancellation by NPC: NPC reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or substitute instructors for any class. In the event NPC cancels a class with no reasonable substitute offered, a pro-rated credit will be issued toward future classes.
2. Make-Up Class Policy
Students are eligible for one (1) make-up class for every six (6) lessons purchased. For example:
12-class package → up to 2 make-up classes
24-class package → up to 4 make-up classes
48-class package → up to 8 make-up classes
VIP Unlimited Membership → make-ups are not applicable, as unlimited classes are already provided.
Make-up classes must be scheduled and completed within the original duration of the purchased package (e.g., make-ups for a 12-class package must be used within the same 12-week period).
Make-up classes are non-transferable, non-refundable, and expire at the end of the package period. Unused make-up entitlements do not roll over to any future package.
Make-up classes are subject to availability and must be scheduled in advance with NPC administration.
Same-day cancellations or no-shows may forfeit make-up eligibility at NPC's discretion.
3. Medical Emergencies Policy
Emergency Contact Requirement: All students (or guardians) must provide valid emergency contact information at the time of registration and keep it current. It is the family's sole responsibility to update this information.
Immediate Action: In the event of a medical emergency, NPC staff will first attempt to contact the parent, guardian, or designated emergency contact.
Emergency Services: If the emergency is deemed life-threatening or requires immediate professional intervention, NPC Arts Center reserves the right to call 911 or emergency medical services (EMS) and/or arrange transport to the nearest hospital without further authorization.
Financial Responsibility: Any costs incurred for emergency medical treatment, including ambulance fees, hospital charges, or related expenses, are the sole responsibility of the student, parent, or legal guardian.
Health and Wellness: To protect the community, NPC reserves the right to refuse participation to any student showing symptoms of contagious illness, with no refund or make-up for missed classes.
4. Release of Liability
General Release: By registering at NPC Arts Center, the student (and/or their legal guardian) agrees, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to release and hold harmless NPC Arts Center, its owners, directors, instructors, staff, and agents from any and all claims, damages, losses, or liabilities arising out of or related to participation in classes or presence on the premises, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Supervision Limits: NPC is responsible for students only during their scheduled class time. Children under 12 must be dropped off no earlier than 10 minutes before class and picked up promptly at dismissal. A late pickup fee of $1 per minute after 15 minutes may apply. NPC is not liable for incidents occurring outside of class hours or off-premises.
Personal Property: NPC Arts Center is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of any personal items, including art supplies, electronics, clothing, or artwork brought into or left at the center.
Facility Conduct: NPC maintains a safe and inclusive environment. NPC reserves the right to dismiss any student whose conduct is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or disrespectful to staff or other students, without refund, and to terminate any further liability upon such dismissal.
5. Assumption of Risk
Inherent Risks: The student and/or guardian acknowledges that participation in arts education involves inherent risks, including but not limited to the use of sharp tools (scissors, carving tools, etc.), exposure to artistic materials (solvents, glazes, paints, adhesives), and the use of specialized equipment.
Voluntary Participation: Enrollment is voluntary, and by participating, the student and guardian proceed with full knowledge and acceptance of these risks.
Safety Adherence: Students are required to follow all safety instructions provided by instructors. For students aged 4 to 7, the ability to follow basic safety instructions and being toilet-trained is a prerequisite for enrollment.
6. Photo and Video Release
By enrolling, the student and/or legal guardian grants NPC Arts Center permission to photograph, video record, and audio record the student and their artwork during classes, events, and activities.
NPC Arts Center is granted a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, edit, and publish such photos, videos, and artwork for promotional, marketing, educational, and administrative purposes, including on social media, websites, printed materials, and advertising.
No compensation will be provided for such use, and no names or identifying personal information will be published alongside images without separate written consent.
Guardians who wish to opt out of promotional use must submit a written opt-out request to NPC administration at the time of registration. Opt-outs apply only to external promotional use and do not restrict incidental photography (e.g., group class photos for internal records).
7. Communication Consent
By registering, students and guardians consent to receive communications from NPC Arts Center regarding classes, schedules, events, and promotions via email, phone, or text. Guardians may opt out of promotional communications at any time while continuing to receive essential class-related notices.
8. Agreement
By completing this online registration, the student and/or legal guardian acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to all terms and conditions above — including the non-refundable nature of all class packages and memberships, the student attendance commitment, and the make-up class policy.
